TOWN HALL MEETING
A critical Town Hall meeting is scheduled for Friday, July 23, beginning with lunch at 11:30 AM at the Lakeside Fire Department, 2922 W. White Mountain Blvd in Lakeside.
The purposes of the meeting are:
- Share a brief history of the weed problem and its impact on the Town.
- Explain the solution that has been identified and its cost.
- Explore ways to raise the remaining 50% of the $30,000 needed to treat Rainbow Lake
- David A. Brown, prominent Water Rights Attorney will speak and address the status of the current Navajo and Hopi litigation on the Little Colorado River.
The meeting is open to all interested parties. The partnership has focused efforts solving the weed issues in Rainbow Lake. A solution has been identified and roughly 50% of the needed funds have been raised.
